We first met C&J in Lanzarote for their engagement session in September 2020. We spend two days together exploring the Island, getting to know each-other and having fun! So when we met them again in October 2020 for their Dolomites elopement in Italy, it was like meeting with friends.
Of course, we arrived a few days before to scout and discover the beautiful Italian Mountains and we can honestly say this part of Italy is one of the most breathtaking in Europe!
It was a dream of ours to see the Dolomites and it totally lived up to the expectations, what we didn’t expect thought was having snow this early! At our arrival in the Dolomites the first snow had just fallen and turned the place in a magical wonderland!
Change of plans
But C&J initial ceremony location wasn’t accessible anymore! Luckily the entire region of the Dolomites is full of jaw dropping location. And we managed to found a back up plan in a matter of hours: a gorgeous lake, easily accessible, with an amazing view looking over the mountains, and completely deserted!
After joining them to their airbnb while they where getting ready and preparing their vows, we took them to the newly found location and discovered the talented work of Josefa Florist: a beautiful arch facing the lake and the mountains…
In the end, everything was perfect
Everything just felt right, like it was destined to happen this way, and even though the weather was much colder than anticipated, C&J where completely overwhelmed by the mountain tops covered in snow reflecting in the lake. It truly added magic and something special to their day.
Looking back at these images, reminds us just how blessed we where part of this incredible Dolomites Elopement in Italy. We can’t wait for the day we come back to the Dolomites and take our couples to more amazing locations to express their commitment and love for each-other.
